Antidegradents are ingredients used to retard the deterioration of rubber compounds initiated by oxygen , ozone, heat, light etc. Along with this waxes are used to provide a coating, which protects the rubber compound from ozone. Processing aids are ingredients added to rubber compound to facilitate processing operations such as mixing, calendaring and extrusion.

2. Binder The flexible magnets made by extrusion and calendering processes use elastomer as the binder. An elastomer is a macromolecular material that at room temperature can be stretched under low stress at least twice its original length and after release of the stress, will return to its approximate dimension and shape [5]. They are elastic, flexible, tough and relatively impermeable to both water and air. There are innumerable elastomers that are available from various manufacturers and care must be taken to select one, which meets the customer's requirement in the intended application.

Disproportionation and recombination have been varied. The effect of these processing parameters on the microstructural and magnetic properties is detailed. Intermediate processing stages were characterized by XRD (Rietveld analysis), field emission gun scanning electron microscope (FEGSEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using EDX, selected area diffraction and convergent beam electron diffraction modes. The degree of texture in aligned recombined powders has been characterized by magnetic measurements using a VSM and qualitatively by Kerr microscopy.
